I just got this new computer and need to have access to my google chrome because of all the favorites I have saved on there for work. The issue I'm running in to is windows is blocking it from downloading it as it is not a "verified app".
I have searched for a solution on here but I don't have the option to select where I get my apps from. It seems utterly ridiculous that I can not add what ever I want on my own computer. Please help my old computer died and I need to get back to work :.

Some PC's and laptops are sold with Windows 10 in S Mode, and that limits you to only being able to install Apps form the Microsoft Store To install Chrome or any other 3rd party software, you need to switch Windows 10 out of S Mode to Windows 10 Home, and then you can install any software you need to on your new PC and it is free to do so.
If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, be careful not to click the "Go to the Store" link that appears there. On the Switch out of S mode or similar page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store.
